Uninstallation of MongoDB Compass Error Message

 

When the following error message appears:

 

 

To resolve this issue kindly follow the steps below:

 

1.Open Installed Apps - check if MongoDB Compass or MongoDB Shell are installed. If yes, uninstall manually.

2.Then try to locate these folders:

ØC:\Program Files\MongoDB

ØC:\Program Files\MongoDB Compass

ØC:\MongoDB

If they exist, delete them. If it does not allow you to delete them, then leave them. These files will not cause any issues. Ensure that Step 1 has been completed.

 

3.Re-open Scan2x Windows (if already open, close and re-open). The error message should appear again.

4.If the error pops up again - access your Setup folder - found within your Scan2x folder. So if your Scan2x folder is C:\Program Files (x86)\Scan2x, then the Setup folder can be found within. The path in this case would be C:\Program Files (x86)\Scan2x\Setup. If any of these files exist - delete them:


 mongodb-windows-x86_64-7.0.14-signed_DONE
 mongodb-windows-x86_64-8.0.8-signed_DONE

 mongodb-windows-x86_64-7.0.14-signed_IGNOREDELETE
 mongodb-windows-x86_64-8.0.8-signed_IGNOREDELETE

 mongodb-windows-x86_64-7.0.14-signed_DELETE
 mongodb-windows-x86_64-8.0.8-signed_DELETE

 

5.Repeat Step 3. If the above still do not work - kindly contact Avantech support for further assistance.
