Why are my documents locked in Scan2x?
When documents are being uploaded, Scan2x locks the document until it has been properly processed to avoid external programs interfering with Scan2x's processes. Scan2x then releases them once the program has finished processing them. This is shown by the appearance of a .s2x file with the same file name as the document uploaded.

Documents can also remained locked in the event of Scan2x closing abruptly.

To unblock the documents, navigate to the folder where the documents are stored and delete the .s2x files.
