Connecting IMAP with Gmail Account for Mailbox Monitoring
Step 1: Enable IMAP in Gmail
1.Log in to your Gmail account at https://mail.google.com
2.Click the gear icon in the top-right corner → click "See all settings"
3.Go to the "Forwarding and POP/IMAP" tab
4.In the IMAP access section:
oSelect Enable IMAP
oClick Save Changes
Step 2: Generate an App Password
1.Go to https://myaccount.google.com
2.Click Security
3.Under "Signing in to Google", make sure 2-Step Verification is ON
4.Then, click App passwords
5.Enter your password
6.Under "Select app", choose Mail
7.Under "Select device", choose your platform (or “Other” to name it)
8.Click Generate
9.Copy the 16-character app password — you'll use this instead of your Gmail password
Step 3: IMAP Settings in Source Settings tab
Use these Gmail IMAP settings:
•Incoming Mail (IMAP) Server: imap.gmail.com
oPort: 993
oRequires SSL: Yes
•Username: your full Gmail address
•Password: your App Password
