.png)
If you have your scanner connected but it is not showing in the list on Scan2x Windows as shown in the above screenshot, kindly check the following:
•The latest scanner driver is installed on the PC
•No connection to Scanner
•How is my scanner driver showing properly but I cannot scan?
If after checking the above points, the scanner still does not appear, kindly follow the below steps:
Step 1: Verify if Win32_PnPEntity is Missing
•Open PowerShell as Administrator.
•Run the following command:Get-WmiObject -Namespace "root\cimv2" -Class Win32_PnPEntity If you get the error "Invalid class 'Win32_PnPEntity'", proceed to Step 2.
•To confirm that the class is missing/corrupted, run: Get-WmiObject -Namespace "root\cimv2" -List | Where-Object { $_.Name -like "Win32_*" } If Win32_PnPEntity is not listed, continue to Step 2.
Step 2: Reset the WMI Repository
•Open Command Prompt (CMD) as Administrator.
•Run the following commands one by one:
onet stop winmgmt /y
owinmgmt /resetrepository
onet start winmgmt
•Restart the PC after running these commands.
Step 3: Verify the Fix and Test Scan2x
•After the restart, open PowerShell as Administrator.
•Run the following command again: Get-WmiObject -Namespace "root\cimv2" -Class Win32_PnPEntity
•If the command runs without errors, the issue has been resolved.
•Open Scan2x and test whether the scanner is now detected properly.
If the issue still occurs, please contact the Avantech support team by sending an email to support@avantechsoftware.com
