Scanning to a Custom Path
Scan2x buttons that are set up to save their documents to a folder can be individually set - that is, each button can have a separate destination. The destination can be literal (e.g., C:\scans\output) or can be dynamic, in which sub-directories are created based upon data collected at time of scanning. This dynamic data can be sourced from:
•the document itself by OCR,
•from the user as a manual entry,
•from Scan2x variables (e.g., today's date, the name of the user performing the scanning, etc)
•from web service or database queries
All the above information can come together to enable Scan2x to create complex subdirectory structures to identify and categorise documents.
