Unit ID
This is a name given to this Scan2x workstation only. Other Scan2xs on the same network can be set with different names to differentiate between them.
(Not used when configuring web, ScanFront 400 and MFD environments)
Default Scanner
Scan2x can be set to default to a particular scanner if the machine is connected. If the scanner type selected here is not connected, this function will have no effect.
(Not used when configuring web, ScanFront 400 and MFD environments)
Default Output Path
The UNC path set here will be used for all jobs in which the “Scan to Default Path” output option is selected.
(Please note that this option should not be used by Scan2x Online tenants due to when saving in Scan2x Online, it does not have access to the users' local directories)
Webserver URL
This setting only applies to Scan2x Web Access Server licences. The Scan2x Web Server URL needs to be specified in this textbox (for e.g., http://localhost:9009).
Enable System Sounds
Unticking this checkbox disables the system sounds that Scan2x uses by default to indicate a user action. Examples of system sounds include “button press” sounds made when a user types in their PIN number upon login.
(Not used when configuring web, ScanFront 400 and MFD environments)
Enable virtual on-screen keyboard
Enables or disables the on-screen keyboard for touchscreen devices working in kiosk mode.
(Not used when configuring web, ScanFront 400 and MFD environments)
Automatically use Single sign-on at startup
This feature allows Scan2x to make use of the login identity of the Windows PC on which Scan2x is currently running, allowing a user to access Scan2x without having to use a PIN. This function will also work when the PC is not joined to an Active Directory network. If the Windows user does not exist in the Scan2x user directory it will be created automatically.
(Not used when configuring web, ScanFront 400 and MFD environments)
Keep systems logged in after initial log in
This switch disables the auto-logout countdown
Disable scanning queue
It is possible to configure Scan2x to attempt immediate delivery of output during the scanning process. This will bypass the queue functionality completely.
Limit queue to run between
This setting allows for the disabling of the Scan2x transmission queue during peak network usage times. Pending jobs in the queue will be held until peak times are over and then transmitted to their destination.
Parallel Saving Queue Limit
The Scan2x Windows output queue is able to parallal save documents. The following three limits can be set:
ØHigh - set this limit for documents to parallel save whilst Scan2x has the most resources when no processing or splitting is ongoing.
ØMedium - set this limit for documents to parallel save whilst Scan2x has the the Scan Preview open.
ØLow - set this limit when Scan2x has the lowest resources when processing or splitting will be ongoing.
Whilst scanning or processing is ongoing, the output queue will save one document at a time.
Please note:
ØThe maximum for each of the above limits is '8'.
ØThe maximum limit the parallel queue can be set to can be calculated by the amount of logical processors your PC has minus 2. For example, if your PC is made up of 8 logical processors, the maximum limit that you will be able to use is '6'.
ØThis functionality will only affect the Scan2x Windows output queue.

Process as:
This setting gives the option to set which username is used for processing automatically imported files.
The "Attempt to use the file creator's username" checkbox means that the Scan2x system will try to identify the creator of the file in the folder that the system is monitoring. When the file is saved to the output destination, the file will be saved using the name and permission of the creator if the attempt was successful.
